Chapter 12 Flashcards
You are not in the flesh but in the spirit.
Jesus said to him, ‘You are blessed, Simon Bariona, because flesh and blood did not reveal (this) to you, but my father.
God says, ‘I will pour out from my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy.’
σωτηρ ἐστιν ὁ Ἰησους;
Is Jesus the saviour?
The father’s son fled.
I have a good mother.
Their saw their fathers.
He baptizes with water.
The men left.
Christ died on behalf of men and women.
Do the will of God.
He loves two women.
The spirit does not like the flesh.
I have big feet.
They saw the light.
More soldiers are coming.
You have a bigger head than I.
ὁ Ἰησους εἱχεν πλειονας μαθητας ἠ Ἰωαννης;
Did Jesus have more disciples than John?
I am a prophet of a greater temple.
τίς ἐρχεται;
Who is coming?
I want some bread.
τί φιλειτε τον Χριστον;
Why do you (pl) love Christ?
περι τὶνων εἰπεν;
About what (or whom – pl) did he speak?
Some fathers are wicked.
περι τὶνα ζητειτε;
Whom are you (pl) seeking?
τί προσευχῃ;
Why are you praying?
τίνι εἰπετε;
To whom did you (pl) speak?
Some prophets are calling.
τίνα νομον τηρειτε;
What law do you keep?
Father, glorify your name.
I baptised you (pl) with water, but he will baptise you in (the) Holy Spirit.
But he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith saved you: go in peace.’
In him was life, and the life was the light of humanity.
And the word became flesh.
The woman said to him, ‘I do not have a husband.’ Jesus said to her, ‘You spoke appropriately, “I don’t have a husband.” ’
Jesus said to them, ‘I told you (pl) and you do not believe; these works which I do in the name of my father witness about me.
Simon Peter said to him, ‘Lord, whom shall we follow? You have words of eternal life.’
εἰπον αὐτῳ οἱ Ξαραισαιοι· Τί οἱ μαθεται σου οὐ καλως χερσιν ἐσθιουσιν;
The pharisees said to him, ‘Why do your disciples not eat appropriately with their hands?’
But in the Lord neither is a wife separate from a husband nor a husband separate from a wife.
Grace to you (pl) and peace from God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ our saviour.
Just as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets, he will do this.
