what is a test
a test is an objective and standardized procedure for measuring a psychological construct using a sample of behavior.
what is norming
norming is comparing a score to other relevant test scores. the group chosen to be compared is the norm group.
what is a test battery
a test battery is a collection of test that usually asses a variety of different attributes.
speed test
a speed test is a test with rigid and demanding time limits. Most test takers will be unable to finish the test in the allotted time.
power test
A power test is a test without a time limit.
why are group test handy
a group test can be handy to screen candidates simultaneously. It reduces costs of testing.
why are individual tests handy
individual tests can be handy if the company want to asses a candidates style of problem solving and when the examiner needs to establish an interpersonal rapport.
what is a paper-pencil test?
a paper-pencil test is a test with only questions and the participants need to fill them in.
what is a performance test
a performance test is a test with a assignment. The better the assignment was done the higher the score.
what terms are mentioned when a test is discussed?
the three terms mentioned when discussing a test are bias, fairness and culture.
fairness determines if the test alone is sufficient to make the decision and culture means that the test taker needs to get familiar with the subject of matter.
what is the cognitive ability test?
the cognitive ability test allows individuals to demonstrate what they know, perceive, remember, understand or can work with mentally.
