Chapter 3 | Pressure Principles Flashcards
1
Q
What’s the first pressure principle?
A
Pressure Principle #1
- Fluids travel from (areas of) high pressure to low pressure
2
Q
What’s the second principle of pressure?
A
Pressure Principle #2
- Pressure is applied to a fluid is uniformly distributed around every part of the fluid
(The Pressure is exerted equally all in the fluid)
3
Q
What’s the third principle of pressure?
A
Pressure Principle #3
- A transfer of pressure in a fluid can increase the force involved
(Pressure can be pushed down through 1cm² and be multiplied by exerting that pressure through a 50cm² area meaning,
1N turns into 50N if energy)
