Positioning - 9
Supine - flat on back. Pillows head, calves to raise feet.
Prone - lying on abdomen. Pillows head, ankles.
Lateral - lying on either side, bottom arm and top knee in front. Pillows head, top arm, back, top leg, bottom foot.
Sims’ - lying left side, lower arm behind, upper knee in front, semi-prone. Pillows head, upper arm, upper knee, lower foot.
Fowler’s (45-60), high-Fowlers’s (60-90), semi-Fowlers’s (30-45). head and shoulders elevated, knees may be flexed and elevated with pillow.
Trendelenburg - bed flat but foot end raised. Shock. Dr. Orders.
Reverse Trendelenburg - bed flat but head raised. Digestive. Dr. Orders.
Ambulation positives - 7
