Most common form of families in Western society, consisting of only parents and children
Extended Family
Most common form of families around the world; where grandparents or other relatives live with parents and children

The idea that the family’s well-being takes precedence over the concerns of the individual family members
Covenant Marriage
Expands the marriage contract to a life long commitment between the partners within a supportive community
