Responsiveness- ability to sense changes in environment and react to them.

Digestion- breaking down food to be absorbed into the blood.

Metabolism- the chemical reactions that occur within body cells. Breaking down of complex substances and making larger structures from smaller ones. This is regulated by hormones secreted by the endocrine system.

Excretion- removal of wastes from the body. Urinary and digestive systems.
What is function seven of maintaining life?
Reproduction- Ability to generate offspring. Regulated very precisely by the endocrine system.
What is function eight of maintaining life?
Growth- ability to increase in size. Regulated by endocrine system.
