What does Yi-Fu Tuan say about attachment?
He described the way that our understanding of our environment and our attachment to it expands with age. He suggested our geographical horizons expand in parallel with our physical ability to explore the world.
The depth of feeling (attachment) we have for a place is influenced by the depth of our knowledge and understanding of it – this attachment increase with age as we learn more about our home.
