Catalase in living tissues

what is the method for this experiment?

place 10cm^3 of hydrogen peroxide into each of your test tubes
cut equal sized cubes of each of the tissues you are testing and place each piece into a test tube
measure the maximum height the froth reaches in the tube
record ypour results

why was there one test tube left with no tissue just hydrogen peroxide no tissue?
