A

-toys and food
-visible displacement: cats are good at this, needed for hunting
-invisible displacement: (the ability to track the movement of a hidden object after seeing that object placed in, under, or behind an occluder and moved into or behind a second occluder) cats aren’t so good at this. dogs are much better

A

-sensitivity to human cues has been demonstrated
-cats followed human cues that indicated location of hidden food reward
-originally thought that cats dont utilize gazing as attention-getting behaviour but later this was found to be wrong
-cats can distinguish voices of their owners vs strangers
-purring is a form of communication, found to be the same frequency as human babies
