Hook of hamate, pisiform - medial
What is the flexor retinaculum?
Thick connective tissue
Where does the flexor retinaculum originate and insert?
Origin - lateral side
Insertion - medial side
What shape is formed by the carpal arch?
Concave anteriorly
What are the contents of the carpal tunnel? What are their relative positions?
Flexor digitorum profundus tendons - deep
Flexor digitorum superficialis tendons - superficial
Flexor pollicis longus tendon - lateral
Median nerve - lateral
What surrounds the FDS and FDP tendons?
Single synovial sheath
What surrounds the flexor pollicis longus tendon?
Its own synovial sheath
