1) Make sure you and your patient both wash your hands
-put on a pair of gloves

pull out the side piece from the glucose monitor and compare the serial number with the testing strips. Must be the same

3) Test strip

Insert the test strip into the monitor

4) Finger prick
A
Get the yellow lancing advice and remove the grey twisty bit and prick

5) Blood on strip
ONLY when there is little symbol on the bottom of the device appearing

Get the strip and touch on the bubble of blood from the finger

6)Glucose level
A
Fasting and Random glucose should be around 4-7
