Aerobic endurance
The ability to use your cardiorespiratory system for a long period of time.
Muscular endurance
The ability to repeatedly contract your muscles for long periods of time without getting tired.
Flexibility
Is how much movement there is in a joint
Muscular Strength
The amount of force you can put into lifting an object
Speed
Time taken to cover a set distance
Body Composition
The percentage of your body made up of vital organs, bones, fat and muscle.
Agility
The ability to change direction quickly under control
Balance
Two types: Static and Dynamic. The ability to keep the body stable when still or moving by keeping the centre of gravity over the base of support.
Coordination
The ability to use two or more parts of your body smoothly and accurately at the same time.
Power
The ability to combine strength with speed (work done in a unit of time)
Reaction time
The time taken to react to a stimulus
Fitness
The ability to meet the demands of the environment
Health
A state of complete mental, physical and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity
Performance
How well a task is completed
