What are the differences between Bordeaux and Bordeaux Superieur?

A

Bordeaux is low tannin, fruit forward and tends to be made predominantly from Merlot.

Bordeaux Superieur has slightly stricter rules and a higher ABV %. More ripe fruit charateristics.
