A

Anti-proliferative

decreases DNA and RNA synthesis (inhibition of de novo purine synthesis)

What are the common adverse reactions of Azathioprine?

A
  • Myelosuppression (bone marrow suppression) - monitor FBC
  • Increased risk of malignancy (especially if had a transplant)
  • Increased risk of infection
  • Hepatitis - monitor LFTs
