What do you take onto the gym floor?
The Ipad
What software do you need to have ready on the Ipad?
The V1 golf software
What exercises do you video of the assessment?
The overhead squat and trunk stability pushup
What must the triallist never be made to feel?
Like they can’t do the assessment exercises
If the triallist is getting tired, what must you do?
Give them extra break, or end the movement screen without them realising it has finished early
If a client is too unfit to complete the movement screen what should you do?
Finish it early, without them realising you have done so
What equipment should you use if the battling ropes are unavailable?
Use the rowing machine. The triallist must never know they should have used the battling ropes
Do you let the trialist get inton and out of the rowing machine by themselves?
No, you always help them into and out of the rowing machine straps
If the triallist can’t do full Trunk stability press-ups how should they complete them?
On their knees
Should the exercises be done fast or slowly?
Slowly. Always.
How long is the rowing warmup?
2 minutes
What is the order of exercises? And for what rep/sets or time?
Rowing machine - 2 minutes
Inline lunge - 4 minutes - 2 sets of 10 reps. 60 seconds rest
Overhead squat with reebok bar - 4 minutes - 2 sets of 15 reps. 60 seconds between sets
Trunk Stability Pusshup - 4 minutes - 2 sets 10 reps. Rest 60 seconds between sets
Battling ropes/Rowing machine - 1 minute - 15 seconds, 30 seconds rest X 2
What do you do if there is a delay in filming with the V1 golf software?
Change the setting on the screen to remove the “delay”
What equipment do you need to carry out the functional movement screen?
I Pad, V1 Golf software, Reebok empty barbell, Battling ropes, Kettlebell, gym mat
Where do you take the client in the gym?
To a pre planned position, where you have all the equipment ready
