Arm mm - Origin, Insertion Flashcards
Biceps Brachii
***2 heads of origin - only 1 insertion point
Short head O - coracoid process
Long head O - supraglenoid tubercle, sup glenoid labrum (intracapsular) – long head runs through bicipital groove
I - radial tuberosity, forearm fascia (via bicipital aponeurosis/lacertus fibrosus)
Coracobrachialis
O - coracoid process of scapula, conjoined tendon with short head of biceps
I - medial border of middle 1/3 of humerus
Brachialis
O - distal 1/2 of anterior surface of humerus
I - coronoid process of the ulna, ulnar tuberosity
Triceps Brachii
***2 heads of origin - one insertion point
Long head O - infraglenoid tubercle of glenoid
Lateral head O - posterior aspect of humerus and lateral border
Medial head O - posterior surface and medial border of humerus (inferior to radial groove)
