How much hose should the station racks have?

A

One 100’ of 5”. Four 50’ of 2.5”. Two 100’ of 1.75”. Four 50’ of 1.75”. Extra hose may be kept at discretion of station captain or training chief.

How often is hose tested?

A

All hose is tested annually and recorded.

How is hose tested?

A

Mark couplings to check for movement while under pressure. Initially pressurize to 45psi. Only tighten couplings if needed below 45psi. Stand back atleast 15’ from hose while pressurized. Connect hose of drivers side if possible for safety.

250psi for less than 5” and 200 psi for 5”.

Mark the location. Tag the hose. Email the hose email with concerns and description. Wait for a response before sending hose to Station 11.
