What factors are considered when command staff meets every year(ish) to develop an annual training plan vision?
Community needs, operational gaps(fire, EMS, life safety, special ops), mandates, strategic needs, organizational work load
Who manages the operational impact to the training calendar?
Division chief of training. If he isnt available, then the shift commander is responsible.
What does the community education specialist do?
Responsible for scheduling station and apparatus visits and select community events. Units should stay in service.
Who manages/schedules the training center facilities?
Training center administrative assistant
Priorities for placing units out of service?
- District training and community outreach which supports established District objectives 2. Special Operations 3. FEMA CO-TF1 4. Union Business 5. District meetings/department business
How many units can be out of service as a training group?
2 engines, 2 medics, 1 tower/truck/rescue, 1 district chief or SAM
Which two stations must be backfilled if training?
11s and 15s.
How many units can leave the District or training? How many for Department Business?
2 units for training, 1 for business
