A

Cognitive anxiety is the mental component, like worry, rumination, poor focus etc.

Somatic anxiety is the physical component, reflecting the perception of physiological arousal

Time-to-event nature of pre-competitive state anxiety

A

Cognitive is quite high the weeks before the event, the somatic only just before. The decrease is quite rapid. If the event goes well, cog goes down, if not, can increase
