Q

what are the vessels supplying the foregut

A

Coeliac trunk. Supplies the oesophagus to the second part of the duodenum.
Coeliac trunk:
Coeliac trunk has three main branches: the common hepatic artery, the splenic artery and the left gastric artery.
The left gastric artery supplies the lesser curvature of the stomach.
Common hepatic artery:
Coming off of this is the right gastric artery which supplies to the right side of the lesser curvature.
Again from the CHA is the right gastroepiploic artery - supplies greater omentum
Splenic artery;
The left gastric epiploic comes off of here and supplies the greater curvature.
Short gastric artery also off here.

Q

what are the blood vessels of the mid gut

Q

what do each of the right colic, middle colic, jejunal, ileal, ileocolic supply

A

right colic is the ascending colon, middle colic is the transverse colon, the jejunal arteries is the jejunum, the ileal arteries is the ileum, the ileocolic is the ileum to the cecum area really

Q

whats the difference between the vasa recta in the jejunum to the ileum arteries

Q

where do the left colic, sigmoid and superior rectal arteries supply
