If a patients presents themselves with joint pain, fever, chills, and leukocytosis, what is your diagnosis? how do you know this?
infectious arthritis, i know this because the appearance of leukocytosis shows that WBCs are trying to fight off an infection in the synovial membrane

a chronic multisystem, inflammatory, autoimmune disease
If you have lupus what other diseases are you at risk?
pericarditis, valvular disease, renal disease, hemolytic anemia
What is occurring to the body during SLE?
there is an abnormal rxn of the body against its own tissues, cells, and serum proteins (the body as decreased self-tolerance)
