ABC Movies Adrenaline (0.5 mg epi 1:1000) Breathing (5L NP) Corticosteroids (125 mg methyl prednisolone) Diphenhydraming (50 mg) Epi again Fluids (500 cc saline) Glucacon if on B blockers H2 blocker (ranitidine 150 mg) Inhaled salbutamol
Dose of epi in kids
0.01 mg/kg 1:1000 IM up to 0.3 mg
What is the new evidence saying for what is actually helpful and not so helpful in anaphylaxis

Criteria to diagnose anaphylaxix
Acute onset of two symptoms Skin Resp Hypotension GI symptoms
When can you let someone leave the hospital
Observe for 4-8 hours because 23% will have rebound reactions
Steroids do not prevent this
Four types of allergy
Type 1 IGE-Acute onset anaphyaxis symptoms
Type 2 cytotoxic-hours to weeks of blood work changes (anemai)
Type 3 immune complex-1-3 weeks fever, rash, vasculitis, arthritis
Type 4 T cells 2-14 days-Stevens johnson, maculopapular rash
When is it okay to give pen or similar when someone says they have a pen allergy
