A

Biopsy (gold standard): Checks malignancy
Patch Testing: Allergies
Wood’s Lamp: Fungal infection
KOH: Fungal infection
Mineral Oil Slides: Infestations (bugs)
Culture/Sensitivity: Checks for Fungal/Bacterial/Viral infections for antibiotics.

Fix the blood flow. Elevate extremity, SCD’s, Wet dressings.

Cellulitis

A

Infection of skin cells. Treat with antibiotics but obtain culture first, elevate the area (for swelling), pain medicine, and immobilize the area.
