- therefore causes an increase in blood sugar levels

What is Cushing’s disease?
A
Hypersecretion of cortisol which causes :
- muscle atrophy
- hyperglycemia
- adipose redistribution

What are glucocorticoids?
A
- cortisone shot (dose of cortisol)
- increase gluconeogenesis
- increase muscle atrophy and lipolysis
- suppress immune responses
