Symptoms of all three aspects (inattention, Hyperactivity, impulsive) must

1. Be present for at least 6 months
2. Have started before the age of seven
3. Be pervasive – present in more that one single situation
4. Cause clinically significant distress or impairment in
   social, academic or occupational functioning
