A

As Pps have already given lower level shocks it becomes increasingly difficult to rest the experimenters requirement o’t increase the shocks. It difficult to change their mind

What is an Agentic state

A

The state a person is in when he sees himself as an agent for carrying out another person’s wishes

Milgram claims that when a person has an authority figure they won’t see themselves as acting on their own behalf. Rather as an agent for executing the wines of another.

A

In mil grams study the teacher was buggered. He was in a different room to the learner so couldn’t see the consequences of his actions.

When they were both placed on same room tendency to obey reduced too.

Could also be used to explain willingness of people to dispatch weapons of mass destruction

A

By offering an ideology (good for science, threat to national security, etc) people appear more willing to surrender their freedom of action in the belief that they are serving a justifiable cause.
