What was Solidarity and what was the controversy surrounding it?

A

Solidarnosc was a workers’ trade union movement which was banned and saw its leaders imprisoned in 1982

The USA gave secret assistance to Solidarity , criticising Brezhnev and Poland for its heavy handed approach to the trade union and consequently BANNED ALL THEIR HINTECH TRADE.

(Su walked out of start as as result), tensions higher
