Stall Recovery

  3. Roll wings level
  4. Advance thrust as needed
  5. Retract the speedbrakes
  6. Establish pitch attitude
  7. Re-engage autopilot
  • don’t change gear or flap config until recovered*

A

Nose High Recovery

  2. Apply nose down elevator
  3. Reduce thrust
  4. Roll wings level

Nose Low Recovery

  1. Disconnect Autopilot and Autothrottle
  2. Wings level
  3. Nose up elevator
  4. Thrust as necessary

Pitch attitude greater than 25 degrees nose up
Pitch attitude greater than 10 degrees nose down
Bank angle greater than 45 degrees

An upset condition is now considered any time an airplane is diverting from the intended airplane state
