HUD Setup

A

If HUD T/O guidance is used:

  1. RWY length entered on the HUD-EFVS Control Menu page
  2. LOC frequency and course for departure RWY set on ILS control panel
  3. GND ARM displayed after V-speeds entered into FMS

If HUD Takeoff Guidance is required for WX conditions (<500 feet/150 meters RVR)

  1. Both crew members trained/qualified
  2. Takeoff minimums for runway to be used
  3. Maximum crosswind 15 knots or less
  4. FPV caged
  5. Review all outs and actions for loss of HUD Takeoff Guidance prior to 80 knots andafter 80 knots

If a step climb use VNAV STEP 2000’ (unless 1000’ multi directional airway)
VNAV STEP ICAO = 4000’

Or /FL330S (330S) for every planned step on the FPR
