Starting Engine

A

Ground Crew “area clear, cleared to start engines”
FO: PACK CONTROL selectors - OFF

EICAS messages
L PACK OFF
R PACK OFF

CANCEL switch - Push (Verify that messages are canceled)

“START _____ ENGINE” (Left or Right)

Captain starts the chronograph when the F/O selects the engine start selector.

Verify that oil pressure increases
Verify that EGT increases and stays below the EGT limit
EGT - red tick mark no longer present), start the other engine

CA or FO start clock after the (red) EGT Start Limit Line no longer displays
