Respiratory
circulatory
digestive

reproductive
carbohydrates contain the elements
carbon, hydrogen, oxygen
plant cell walls are made out of
a starch called cellulose
one element found in proteins but not in carbohydrates
nitrogen
Explain how changes in temperature affect the activity of an enzyme
- high temp = denature -> which means the substrate not fit into active site
- low temp = low energy and particle movement -> less successful collisions
describe the role of enzymes in cells.
- Enzymes are catalysts, they make chemical reactions in the cells occur.
- they break down substrates by breaking its bond
What artery goes to the Kidneys
Renal artery
What artery goes to the liver
Hepatic artery
What circuit is to do with the lungs
Pulmonary circuit
Why do veins have valves
Due to low blood pressure because it had just come from the arteries and they only allow one red blood cell at a time. Stops the blood from flowing backwards
Vein feeding the heart on the right side
Vena cava
Main artery away from heart to the rest of the body
Aorta
Artery going away from heart on the right side
Pulmonary
Where does the blood go first when entering the heart
Atrium
Valves between atrium and ventricle
AV valves
