What is the hiphil pattern?
- The hiphil is the third of the seven major verb patterns you will learn.
- The hiphil makes up 13% of all verbs in the Hebrew Bible.The qal, piel, and hiphil make up 91% of all verbs.

What is the primary role of Hiphil verbs?
- Causative
- in action verbs

- Do not have a Qal definition
- Hiphil in form, Qal in meaning
- הִשְלִיךְ means “he threw.”
