Supervisor:
*Conducts a 360 size up
*Determines location of ventilation
*Coordinates with Div/Grp Supervisors
*Request add’l resources if necessary

Question 3

Aerial Ladder Access
Engineer

Answer 3

*Spots apparatus for aerial placement
*Positions aerial to proper placement

Question 4

Aerial Ladder Access
Firefighter responsibility

Answer 4

*Both Firefighters work together to place chainsaws in aerial scabbards
*Assist Engineer with aerial placement

Question 5

Ground Laser access responsibilities
Engineer

Answer 5

*Throws initial ground ladder(if necessary 1 FF will assist)

Question 6

Residential Vertical Vent Op

Answer 6

*Personnel will follow lead hook out
*Perform appropriate cuts
*Engineer places blower at main entry
*Eng ensures a backup saw and hook are on the roof
*Captain has a hook and monitors roof conditions

Question 7

Commercial Vertical Vent Op

Answer 7

*Perform diagnostic cuts/comm. findings to crew
*Understand roof construction and direction of travel
*Follow lead hook to desired location
*Captain monitors roof conditions
