What is a social issue?
A social issue is a problem that influences a considerable number of individuals within a society, such as crime, health, education, media & propaganda, poverty, and terrorism.
What is an ethical issue?
An ethical issue is a problem that requires a person or organisation to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical), such as computer crime, responsibility for computer failure, protection of computer property, records and software, and privacy.
What are some possible discussion points for social and ethical issues in a networked world?
Discussion points include constant exposure to communication technology, internet use, smartphones, gaming, mobile phones, social media, privacy vs law enforcement, freedom of speech, and AI.
What are the social impacts of networked technology?
Social impacts include effects on stakeholders, pros and cons for society, alternative solutions, and feasible solutions.
What are the ethical issues associated with a networked world?
Ethical issues include responsibility, accountability, policies, rules, decisions, and consequences.
