1.2.10 - Explain the possible consequences of failing to involve the end-user in the design process. Flashcards
Why is it important to involve the end-user in the design process?
Involvement, collaboration, and active participation of all key stakeholders, including the client and end users, are critical for a successful system. A project with poorly defined stakeholder goals is unlikely to be successful.
What are the possible consequences of not involving the end user in the design process?
Consequences include designing an inappropriate solution, clients not using the solution, wasted money and time, and negatively affected productivity.
Why is constant communication important in the design process?
Constant communication through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and prototype feedback ensures the system meets end user needs and addresses the correct problems.
