A
Ensures that any starch already present was either used or stored elsewhere/removed.

What test do you do to check for starch?
A
Put a leaf that has been exposed to light in a boiling tube, boil for one minute, put it into a test tube with ethanol and boil it for a minute, soften on tile and put iodine dye on it.

A
