Direct vs indirect object
Direct object is a noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb. Indirect object is a noun or pronoun that receives the direct object.

What is declarative
Statement
Ex. I enjoy squishing my dogs toes.

What is imperative
Command
Ex. Don’t walk through the tunnel.

What is parallelism?
The repetition of the same grammatical form in two or more parts of a sentence.
What is absolute phrase?
A group of words that modify an entire sentence.

What is imperative mood?
A verb form used to make a demand or to give advice or instructions.
Ex. Slow down!
What is indicative mood?
It states, asks, or denies a fact.
What is subjunctive mood?
A verb form used to refer to a hypothetical scenario or to express a wish, suggestion, or command.

Free writing vs drafting
Free writing is spontaneous, unstructured exercise aimed at generating ideas. Drafting is a more deliberate and organized process of creating a polished piece of writing.
Comma rules
- To separate independent clauses.
- After introductory.
- Between all items in a series.
- To set off nondestructive clauses.
- To set off appositives.
- Indicate direct address.
- Set off direct quotation.
What is primary source
Is an original document/image, the result of an experiment, statistical data or creative work.
What is secondary source?
Something written about or using a primary source.
What is a tertiary source?
A collection of primary and secondary sources.
