What is a unit fraction?
A fraction with a numerator of 1 and a denominator of any whole number.
Ex: 1/2, 1/3,
What is least common denominator?
lowest common multiple of the denominators of a set of fractions.
What are conjectures?
A guess or speculation that we make based on incomplete information.
What is the commutative property?
the numbers on which we operate can be moved or swapped from their position without making any difference to the answer.
What is an equilateral triangle?
All sides are equal.
What is an isosceles triangle?
Two sides are equal.
What is a scalene triangle?
No sides are equal.
What are the three triangles angles?
- Acute
- Obtuse
- Right
What are polygons?
a flat or plane, two-dimensional closed shape bounded with straight sides.
What are rectangle arrays?
Identical rows, stacked on top of one another to model the multiplication of two numbers.
What is a bar graph?
many of a certain type of variable occur within a specific range.
What is a histogram?
Used when intervals are needed to graph numeric data
What is socialization?
The act of adapting behavior to the norms of a culture or society
What is culture?
the set of patterns of human activity within a society or social group
What is acculturation ?
process in which an individual adopts, acquires and adjusts to a new cultural environment
