Deductive teaching method

Inductive teaching method

Reliability vs validity
Reliability refers to the consistency of a measure (whether the results can be reproduced under the same conditions).
Validity refers to the accuracy of a measure (whether the results really do represent what they are supposed to measure).
Norm vs criterion
Norm-referenced means that we are referencing how your score compares to other people.
Criterion-referenced means that we are referencing how your score compares to a criterion such as a cutscore or a body of knowledge.
Progress-monitoring
formal process that involves regularly collecting and using data to evaluate student performance and academic progress.
