Targeted areas that may need to be educated or warmed up to do a posture correctly
Not asanas
Preparatory pose
Simpler awesomeness that include component parts to prepare for more challenging postures. Go from simple to more complex poses.
Peak pose
Climax of the goal of Vinyasa yoga. This is the hardest pose. Done around 30 to 40 minutes of class.
Transitional pose
Gradual shift from one range of motion to another. Shorter length, very chilled/centering after peak pose.
Counter poses
Opposing action to bring balance to body. Seated poses, balancing poses to the peak pose. Think about the spine; go in opposite as peak.
Donβt want to counter every post takes too long!
