I thought sufficient meeting timescales to catch up on progress.
Weekly inspections to keep a close eye on the job.

Faulty works can be rectified when exposed so avoids delays and disruption if covered up.
Helps build relationships.
Flatten any issues early so they don’t become ongoing.

The SofW and manufacturer’s product data sheet.
Kingsway House: What is Practical Completion? and what occurs following it?
PC when the works are practically complete and only small jobs to complete such as cleaning and minor snags.
Releases part of the retention
Defect liability begins.
Employer insurers the site
End of any Liquidated damages.
Kingsway House: What certification would you issue at PC?
Practical Completion Certificate.
Kingsway House: What is a snagging inspection?
Quality inspection to criticise the executed works and notify the contractor and employer of any shortfalls to be negotiated or rectified.
Kingsway House: How did you notify the contractor?
By a formal notice to rectify the poor quality works (screw fixings were used on some joints appose to bolts)
Kingsway House: What does PC signify/occurs following this?
- End of liability to LaDs
- Rectification period begins
- Half the retention released
- Employer then takes back the site and insurers.
