- when you are not sure which decimal is greater, always compare each number, the higher number is always greater
ex. with .25 the first number is 2
with .75 the first number is 7 so I know .75 is greater

since .375 is in the thousandths place we can do
375/1000 and reduce to the simplest fraction

convert 6.75 into a fraction ?
when dealing with a number greater than one, deal with the decimal part first so .75 = 75/100 which reduced to 3/4
then take the 6 and multiply it times 4/4 which gives you 24/4 now you can add the two fractions so, 3/4 + 24/4 = 27/4
