taxonomy
Developed by Benjamin Bloom and his colleagues to initially improve post-secondary exams, and now has impacted all education levels around the world. A classification system of educational objectives divided into three domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, which behaviours occur simultaneously. Blooms taxonomy consists of six basic objectives: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.

Within-class ability grouping
system of grouping in which students in a class are divided into two to three groups based on ability in attempt to accommodate student differences
flexible grouping
grouping and regrouping students based on learning needs
