Bridge-In Meaning
A Bridge/Hook is an introduction, a means to generate participants interest for the class
-Serves to harness the attention of the learners or participants
-Briding techniques begin the learning cycle
-Gain learner’s attention through narrative or via questions
-Increases motivation; briding explains why the topic is important
-Usually short
Objective Meaning
As in learning objectives, it lets students know what you’re going to teach them
-States what the learners/audience will be able to do by the end of the lesson
-Objectives have a behaviour, condition and a degree that it will be able to be completed under
Pre-Assessment Meaning
Allow learners to add their own experiences to improve participation and engagement
-Can prompt curiousity and act as a further bridge-in
-Allows you to adapt to your learner’s abilities or readiness
-Identifies what students already know or can do
Participatory Meaning
-Encourage participation and interactivity in the learning process, this is how learning happens
-In order to maintain learner’s attention, let them participate or leaad
-Involves both you as an instructor to connect with learners to come up with new ideas
-Inclusive when includes diverse ways of engagement, representation and expression
Post-Assessment Meaning
-Serves to confirm that the audience achieved the objective (ex. Quiz)
-Post-test answers for questions for learners to see

Summary Meaning
Summarize learning experience, create ssense of closure
