What is mental health?
A state of mental health well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realise their abilities, learn well and work well and contribute to their community
What is a mental health disorder?
Characterises by a clinically significant disturbance in an individuals cognitions, emotional regulation or behaviour. It is usually associated with distress or impairment in important areas of functioning.
What are some examples of talking therapies?
- CBT
- DBT
- eye movement desensitisation
- interpersonal therapy

- trauma focused CBT
What are some first line treatments?

What are common sleep aids?
Zopiclone
What are common beta blockers?
Propranolol, atenolol, lithium, sodium valoproate, lamotrigine
What is a grounding technique?
A technique that aims ti return you back from the negative challenging emotions, to the present.
What are the 5P’s?
