Wake Turbulence Flashcards

1
Q

Q
  • Wake Turbulence: Weight of a Heavy (H) category Aircraft
A
  • Aircraft types with a MCTOW 136,000kg or more. E.g. B767, A310

For the Purpose of wake turbulence a B757 is classified as heavy.

Q
  • Wake Turbulence: Weight of a Medium Category Aircraft
A
  • Aircraft types with a MCTOW of more than 7000kg but less than 136,000kg

E.g. B1900, DH8C and A320

A Seasprite Helecopter will be categoriesed as a MEDIUM (M) aircraft for the purpose of assessing wake turbulence.
