A
- Completed a Biennial Flight Review (BFR)
- The holder of a licence is not required to complete a BFR if:
- The holder meets the competency check requirements of Part 121
- Meets Ag requirements, or;
- Holds a current A, B or C flight instructor rating.

- Control, restrain, off load or reject loading.
- Authorise other crew members to control and restrain passengers.

Recent Flight Requirements (CAR 121.607)
Part 121 Flight Crew Competency Assessments
A
- Successfully complete an IFR competency assessment within the last 6 months
- Successfully passed a route check conducted in an aeroplane within the immediately preceding 12 months
- Within the immediately preceding 12 months, successfully completed an oral or written test of the following (Covered by CBTs, refreshers, TDPDs etc at Air Nelson)
- CAA Rules
- Aeroplane Systems, performance, SOPs
- Nav, ATC, Meteorology
- Emergency equipment.
- New Equipment
- Checks completed 60 days prior to which they are required are deemed to have completed the demonstration on the required date.

Previous 3 Months (IFR)
A
- 3 Hours IF (1 Hr Flight time, 2 hours sim) and;
- 3 instrument approaches (1 sim, 2 plane)
- Completed an instrument app procedure of similar type
- perform at least (Air Nelson Requirements)
- 1 x ILS
- 1 x RNAV
- 1 x VOR or LOC

What are the Duties of the PIC
A
- Maintain the safe operation of the Aircraft in flight, the safety and well-being of all passengers, crew, and cargo carried
- Have final authority to control the aircraft and for the maintenance of discipline by allpersons on board.
- Responsible for ensuring no other person other than a qualified and assigned flight crew member manipulates the controls.
- Comply with all requirements of Company procedure manuals, The CA Act 1990, and rules except in an emergency when in the intrests of safety, immediate action in breach of the Act or Rules is necessary.

ATPL Eligibility Requirments (CAR 61.253)
A
- 21 years old
- Hold current CPL
- Current instrument rating
- 1500hrs TT
- 7 written examination passes
- Hold Class 1 Medical (CAR 67)
- Flight Test - IFR, Cross county, Aircraft MTOW of 5700kg or more, acceptable to the director or in an approved simulator.
