A
- 2000
8
Q
- What is the minimum FL and when does it change?
A
- Min FL150 (15,000ft QNE (1013.2))
- When QNH is 980hPa or Less it increases to FL160
9
Q
- Remote QNH Setting and restrictions
A
If an accurate QNH is not available from an unattended aerodrome the QNH from another aerodrome may be used but a correction must be made to the promulgated MDA as follows:
- Add 5ft to the MDA for every 1nm in excess of 5nm from the source aerodrome.
Restrictions:
- If the approach plate states “Use (local) QNH only” use of remote QNH is not permitted, so the approach cannot be commenced but you can still fly to the aerodrome.
- When flying RNAV approaches to LNAV/VNAV minima. This will be annotated “Use of remote QNH NA”
