Max Hours that can be flown in a single duty.
(AC119-2)
- 8 Hours
A duty already commenced can be extended by 30mins to a total of 8hr 30mins to complete a disrupted schedule.
Max Duty time in :
- 28 Days
- 365 Days
- 28 Days = 186 hours
- 365 Days = 2000 hours
Max Duty & Flight time in:
- 48 hours
- 72hours
And min rest required if its exceeded
- 16 hours or 22 hours Duty in 48 hours
= 24 Hours Rest
- 20 hours or 29 hours Duty in 72 hours
= 24 Hours Rest
If for any reason on duty more than 30 hours in 72 hour period, pilot gets an additional hour of rest up to a max of 26 hours.
Max single duty time that can be rostered?
Can it be extended?
- 11 hours
Yes, once the duty has commenced it can be extended to 12 hours to complete a disrupted schedule.
Min Rest required if:
- 11 hours duty, or
- 8 hours flight is exceeded
- Min Rest of 12 hours is required
Including the hours between Midnight & 6am
- In addition, for every 15 min worked past 11 hours Duty or 8 hours flight, shall get another hours rest.
- If for any reason, outside of the pilots control, been on duty more than 12 hours or flown more than 8 hours 30 mins, the pilot shall get 24 hours rest
Max Sectors that can be flown in a day
As per AC119-2 and NZALPA CA
- AC119-2: 10 Sectors
- NZALPA CA: 8 Sectors
Min Rest period after a duty
- 10 Hours
Max Hours that can be flown in :
- 7 Consecutive days
- 28 consecutive days
- 90 Consecutive days
- 365 Consecutive days
- 7 Consecutive days = 35 hours
- 28 consecutive days = 100 hours
- 90 Consecutive days = 300 hours
- 365 Consecutive days = 1000 hours
