What is a viral wart?
A
- A benign lesion caused by infection with HPV virus

Who gets cutaneous viral warts?
A
- School aged children
- Dermatitis
- Derug-induced immunosuppression (azathioprine/ ciclosporin)
- HIV

What are the clinical features of viral warts?
A
- Hard, keratinous surface
- red/black dots = papillary capillaries
- cauliflower like papules with a rough, papillomtous and hyperkeratotic surface
- Plantar warts = verruca

What is the treatment for Viral warts?
A
- Topical treatment = salicylic acid, podophyllin
- Cryotherapy
- Electrosurgery
